Ukraine modernizes two railway lines near the border with Poland

This was announced by Oleksandr Kubrakov, Deputy Prime Minister for the Restoration of Ukraine – Minister of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development ¹ of Ukraine.

The sections in the direction of Starzhava – Khyriv – Nizhankovychi, Khyriv – Sambir are being discussed.

In less than a year, 70 km of tracks, 10 bridges and station infrastructure were repaired. The new sections will increase the capacity of the Ukrainian-Polish border.

This week, the sixth border crossing point on the Ukrainian-Polish border was opened in Nizhankovychi. It will serve passenger buses, cars and trucks with a permissible maximum weight of over 7.5 tons, without cargo.
