The Task
Arrange end-to-end delivery of solar panels on the Shanghai — Gdansk — Moshny route in the Cherkasy region. The consignment was six 40-foot sea containers.
The main challenge was the weight: a standard tilt truck is rated at roughly 22 tonnes, which was not enough. The process also required constant coordination between the Chinese supplier, the sea agent, the Polish warehouse and the brokers — any delay would have affected the client’s project schedule.
How We Organized It
- Sea leg Shanghai – GdanskWe arranged sea transport from Shanghai to the Port of Gdansk in standard 40-foot containers.
- Matching trucks to the weightWe selected modern tilt trucks with a payload of up to 25 tonnes, because standard 22-tonne vehicles were not suitable.
- Transhipment at the portWe organised the transfer of cargo from the containers onto six trucks directly at the Port of Gdansk.
- Coordinating the partiesWe kept the Chinese supplier, the sea agent, the Polish warehouse and the brokers working in step.
- Delivery to the Cherkasy regionAll six trucks reached the destination on time, within the agreed schedule.
Result
We provided full logistics support — from the sea leg out of China through to delivery at the destination in the Cherkasy region.
